10 Great Reasons to visit Dubai During christmas
Dubai is a world renowned travel destination that is on more than half the world’s travel bucket list. Apart from shopping therapy, there are tonnes of places, each unique in its splendor waiting to be experienced; and truthfully it has been a struggle to limit myself to ten! The climate in Dubai is sub-tropical making it hot and humid across the year. This ensures that you get to enjoy the spectacular tourist attractions all year round!

This is the leading family cultural, shopping and entertainment destination offering a unique shopping experience from more than 75 countries with different cultures. The 20th edition launching this year on 3rd November going all the way to April 2016 promises to be even bigger and better. Special attractions bound to capture your attention are the prehistoric oceanarium, 3D haunted house and submarines. Enjoy international cuisine and make a point of going to the fantasy island!

This is one feature in Dubai whose mention sends shivers of excitement down a person’s spine. Believe me, all the hype you have heard about the Dubai Fountain is well deserved; as you will fall in love with it once you set your eyes on it. Set on the 24-acre Burj Lake, the fountain shoots water as high as 140 metres, is 275 metres long, giving visual spectrums of over 1,000 abstract shapes. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain is visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle East, and  possibly in the entire world. The Dubai Fountain performs daily to around 35 songs including Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili.

For a ride of your life, there’s the Tower of Poseidon housing the Aquaconda, the world’s largest slide, Zoomerango which gives an experience of weightlessness and Poseidon’s Revenge a nerve-wrecking slide only for the brave at heart! Experience the underwater world in the Shark Safari where you wear specially designed helmets providing you with oxygen as you walk in the water with sharks, rays and colorful fish swimming in real time around you. Neat!
4.Ski Dubai
Picture an indoor ski resort 22,500 square meters big within the Mall of the Emirates having an 85-meter-high indoor mountain with 5 slopes of varying steepness and difficulty, including the world’s first indoor black diamond run. Now stop picturing, and live!
5.Fireworks display on New Year
Go big or go home! Usher in the New Year with umph! Feast your eyes on a spectacular display of 500,000 fireworks with the largest LED-illuminated facade at the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. It never gets boring; this year’s celebrations are expected to be grander.

This is a must-do activity in Dubai. You do not get to have this enchanting experience at home. You will also get to ride a camel, go sand boarding and have intricate designs painted on your hands and feet with henna. Dinner in the desert is divine! Lounge and usher the night away by the campfire, enjoying sheesha and belly dancing.
