Escape to Saruni Samburu, a breathtaking lodge nestled in the scenic mountains of the Kalama Conservancy, bordering Kenya's Samburu National Reserve. Since 2003, Saruni has fostered a deep connection with the local communities, co-existing harmoniously and championing responsible tourism practices.

Their commitment to sustainability takes shape in various ways:

  • Community-run conservation: Saruni actively supports community-led conservation projects like controlled cattle grazing and low-impact tourism, empowering local communities who depend on the land.
  • Adopt an Acre: The "Adopt an Acre" initiative allows you to directly contribute to land leases for community members, ensuring their continued income from tourism. Donations start at just $35.
  • Seedball regeneration: Partnering with Seedballs Kenya, Saruni encourages guests to contribute to reforestation efforts. Purchase a box of seedballs ($3) and toss them into designated areas during your game drives, aiding the restoration of indigenous plants.
