Day 1: Nairobi to Saruni Samburu
- Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning for a scheduled flight to the airstrip closest to Saruni Samburu.
- Upon arrival, you'll be met by camp staff and transferred to Saruni Samburu Lodge, taking in the breathtaking views of the Kalama Conservancy and Samburu National Reserve along the way.
- Check-in and settle into your luxurious room, offering stunning views and all the amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay.
- Afternoon at your leisure to relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities, which may include a swimming pool, spa treatments, or an observation deck overlooking the scenic landscape.
- In the evening, embark on your first shared game drive with experienced guides in an open-sided 4x4 vehicle. Explore the conservancy and national reserve, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife like elephants, lions, zebras, and unique species like the gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx.
- Dinner under the stars and an overnight stay at Saruni Samburu Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day at Saruni Samburu
- Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, listening to the sounds of birds and wildlife around you.
- Morning game drive in the vast wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. Your knowledgeable guide will share their expertise about the region's diverse wildlife and the ongoing conservation efforts.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to unwind by the pool or explore the lodge's grounds.
- In the afternoon, participate in a guided bushwalking safari, offering a unique perspective of the conservancy and the opportunity to spot animals you might miss on a vehicle safari. Learn about the local flora and fauna from your experienced guide.
- In the evening, enjoy a delicious bush meal or a scenic sundowner with refreshing drinks and stunning views as the sun sets over the reserve.
- Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day at Saruni Samburu
- Opt for a pre-dawn wake-up call to embark on an optional hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost) for a magical experience drifting over the vast landscape and witnessing the sunrise over the wilderness.
- Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy the tranquility of the morning.
- The day is yours to explore various activities offered by the lodge. You can choose another exciting game drive, participate in the Warriors Academy program for a cultural experience (especially engaging for families with children), or visit a nearby Maasai village and learn about their way of life.
- In the afternoon, unwind with a complimentary 30-minute back and neck massage at the lodge's Wellbeing Space, a perfect way to rejuvenate after your safari adventures.
- In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by the lodge's chefs, followed by an evening game drive where you might spot predators on the hunt under the starry sky.
- Overnight stay at Saruni Samburu Lodge.
Day 4: Saruni Samburu to Nairobi
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the camp, reflecting on the unforgettable memories of your Kenyan safari.
- Check out of Saruni Samburu Lodge and be transferred to the local airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
- Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and be transferred to your hotel or dropped off at the airport for your onward journey.
