Emakoko Hotel

A boutique lodge with a distinctive location on the edge of Nairobi National Park is the famous Emakoko. The distance between it and  Nairobi's airport is only 45 minutes by car. The park's drive, with its breathtaking scenery and profusion of plains game, is a great way to begin an East African safari.There's no better way to begin a vacation than to contribute to the preservation of this special place, especially the numerous and endangered Black Rhinos that call this park home.Despite being close to Kenya's capital, Nairobi National Park has an amazing diversity of wildlife. The Emakoko is personally supervised by the owner-managers and spreads along the base of a steep cliff. It is named after the river that flows into the Mbagathi from the south, less than 1km upstream from the lodge. The lodge is technically unfenced overall, though a discreet electric fence has been erected at the back of the property to protect guests from wandering hippos.
