Our 3 Days Masai Mara Students Educational Safari departs from Nairobi in the morning. You will be picked up by our driver guide, briefed and thereafter depart for Masai Mara. Stop for some time at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, Mai Mahiu on the way, to enjoy the amazing views of the largest Valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch at your lodge or camp, relax followed by an evening game-drive. Masai Mara Game Reserve is characterized with vast acacia-dotted plains cut by ox-bow lakes and spectacular escarpments. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.
The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Parks are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. The animals of the Masai Mara are the star of the show, providing drama and intrigue against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. You might notice a Masai Moran standing on one foot herding hundreds of cow or shepherding goats and sheep holding a single stick or a spear, that’s their way of living. Later in the evening head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.Â
Have your breakfast and continue for more game viewing and photographing. Mara is the best place for film takers and therefore enough time is needed. Lunch will be at the lodge/camp. In the afternoon, drive to a Manyatta (Masai villages). Spend the afternoon at the Manyatta where you learn about various Masai cultural activities such as dances, weaponry, and also listen to stories on the family set-up, social stratification and taboos told by the locals. Overnight at the camp or in a Lodge.
Breakfast will be served at the camp/ Lodge, after which you will depart by road to Nairobi. You will have a stop on your way back to have lunch. The tour ends in Nairobi with drop off at the pickup point. End of tour.Â
