8 Days 7 Nights Tanzania Experience With Materuni Cultural Tour

Early morning flight from Nairobi to Arusha.  Upon arrival, you shall be picked by bountiful safaris staff and transferred to the hotel in Arusha. Dinner and overnight at The Impala Hotel (Lunch & Dinner).

Early morning breakfast then proceed to Materuni Village with an English-speaking guide. Located just 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from Moshi Town, Materuni is still an authentic tribal village home to the Chagga tribe and the last village before the Kilimanjaro National Park. Upon arrival, register at the village office then begin your trip.

First, visit the waterfalls, which are around a 40-minute walk away. On the way, learn about the culture of the Chagga, village life, and the surrounding fauna and flora with your guide. Admire the breathtaking views and, with luck, catch sight of the summit of Kilimanjaro.

When you reach the waterfalls, marvel at cascades that are more than 80-meters (262-feet) high. Take advantage of the inviting pool at the bottom of the waterfall and take a refreshing dip. Don't forget your swimwear!

After enjoying the scenery, slowly return to Materuni Village with the guide. Once there, experience a traditional Chagga lunch and have the opportunity to taste the local banana beer.

Next, the coffee experience awaits you. Learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed. Receive an invitation to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances — a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. Before you say goodbye and return in the afternoon to Arusha, savor the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Early morning breakfast followed by a drive to Ngorongoro Crater conservation Area via Mto Wa Umbu and Lake manyara observation point. Later proceed for early lunch as well as check in. Afternoon descends to the floor of the crater (13.00 Hrs) by a Safari Jeep for game viewing in this unique park. Search and spot Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, Leopard, Cheetahs, Buffaloes and Hippos. Then return to your lodge.

Early morning breakfast then drive to Serengeti National Park, with afternoon game drives on the plains of Serengeti. This is the home to wildebeests’ zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards and different birds.

Spend the whole day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Experience the undisturbed nature in this famous game park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge (Full board).

Breakfast at the lodge. Then drive to Lake Manyara National Park arriving for lunch as well as check-in. Take an afternoon rest before you start an afternoon game drive; see the famous tree climbing lions, Hippos, Elephants as well as different kinds of birds.

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park with game viewing en route until lunchtime. Check-in at the lodge and have rest. Then engage on an afternoon game drive that gives you a chance to see different kinds of wildlife including Jumbo Elephants. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (Full board).
