Our guide will drive slowly to enable you to enjoy your safari and capture the best pictures. You will definitely make stopovers. The first one will be at Butare National Museum, Malaba coffee factory, Nyanza (Rukali). And other adventurous areas. Later head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. Proceed to Nyungwe forest for chimpanzee tracking with the help of the rangers. The rangers know the best spots where you can easily track the chimpanzees. As you hike through the forest, you will come across other primates like monkeys. These will excite you as you get closer to the chimpanzees. Birds will be everywhere and for birdwatchers, this is the best place to be. Getting a chance to see these chimpanzees is breathtaking, you will see them play, rest, feed. You are allowed to take as many pictures as you can. In the afternoon, you go for a forest nature walk to see the twin lakes. You will spot different species of birds there. Later head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
In the early morning, have a beautiful breakfast and drive off to Volcanoes National Park. As you enjoy the ride, you will clearly see Lake Kivu and take pictures of the beautiful area. Have lunch en route and continue with our interesting drive. Our accommodation ranges from luxury, moderate, budget, and camping. All these accommodations offer a magnificent view of the park.Â
Have an exquisite breakfast and go to the park headquarters at Kinigi for a briefing about gorillas and meeting with the rangers. Hiking through the jungle will be amazing, but some level of physical fitness is required as you track the gorillas. The activity takes about 2 to 6 hours. Getting a chance to come face to face with the gorillas is adventurous. These are seen in groups as they do their daily routine work; mothers feeding their young ones, playing, resting as well as feeding. You spend only one hour in the presence of the gorillas. After a memorable day with the gorillas, return to the headquarters and drive back to Kigali and if you have a flight, proceed to the airport.
