PANORAMIC TRAIN VIEWS AND TSAVO WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS

Depart from Nairobi at 8AM with Sgr intercountry train arriving at Voi station in the afternoon, Meet and greet with our transfer guide then head to the lodge/resort/camp arriving in time for lunch. Have lunch, check in and relax, later in the evening head to the park for a 2 hours’ game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/resort/camp.

Have breakfast, then proceed to either morning game drive or relax and enjoy the hotel facilities. Most of the hotels in Tsavo have a watch deck where you can watch animals take water from a water hole. The likes of Voi wildlife and Saltlick lodge are commonly known for this kind of experience.

Tsavo is made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Located in Coast Province of Kenya in between Nairobi City and Mombasa.

Tsavo is nearly 22,000km2, being the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. The park was split into two due to the railway going from Mombasa to the interior of Kenya.

The Taita Hills Wildlife Conservancy derives its name from the surrounding clusters of hills and is an integral part of the Eastern Arc forests classified as an biodiversity hotspot. The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park and making it a highly valued tourism recreational area and of ecological importance.

Have breakfast, check out and head to Voi station to catch your 10:55AM Sgr train back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
