Tour Destination

Uganda is one of the best destination in East Africa for conventional game viewing. Uganda is not an Africa safari destination to bear comparison with Tanzania or Kenya, or for that matter the majority of countries in southern Africa. It is too small to have any reserves on the grand scale of Tanzania’s Selous or Serengeti, or the Luangwa, Chobe, Hwange, and Kruger national parks further south.

However, its savanna reserves have gradually recovered from the heavy poaching during the 70s and 80’s civil war and political unrest. Today, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison’s Falls national parks offer as good a chance of encountering perennial Africa safari favorites such as lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and even leopard as many more celebrated game reserves — with the added bonus of relying on a circuit that also offers some of the best forest primate viewing in Africa.

For leisure travelers on a limited budget, these two parks are also among the most accessible and affordable, comparably worthwhile savanna reserves anywhere in Africa.

On the advantage side, the tininess and obscurity from high numbers of tourists make Uganda a unique destination and a magnet to savvy travelers. Gorilla trekking and primate viewing is a unique activity on Uganda safari

Day 1: Entebbe – Murchison Falls

After picking you up from Entebbe airport, our corporate driver will take you directly to the Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stop at the well-known Luwero triangle to purchase various fruits, such as pineapples, oranges, mangoes, and many more. After lunch at the Masindi Hotel, you will head to the park to see one of the area's greatest attractions, the top of the falls, before continuing to your lodge to relax for the remainder of the evening. Stay the night at Paraa for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Discover the National Park of Murchison Falls

Get up early to have your coffee, and then get picked up by the driver for an early morning game drive with a trained ranger guide around the Buligi game tracks on the northern bank. This will allow you to see many of the early risers in the Nile valley, including jackals, lions, buffalo herds, waterbuck, Jackson's hartebeest, Rothschild's giraffe, elephant, oribi, and baboons. After lunch, you will be returned to your lodge to rest for a bit. You will embark on a launch cruise to the base of Murchison Falls on the Victoria Nile in the afternoon. See the inhabitants of the bank, which include small herds of buffalo and the biggest crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Journey to Kibale Forest from Murchison Falls

Following breakfast in the morning, travel from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park, which offers breathtaking views of the western Albertine Rift Valley, the Great Lake Albert, the Rwenzori mountains, the lovely Lakes George and Edward, and more. Dinner and lodging at the Crater Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Travel to the Bwindi Forest

After breakfast in the morning, we drive via the Ishasha area, south of Queen Elizabeth National Park, on our way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where we will view the tree-climbing lions. The enormous, low-limbed fig trees of Ishasha offer the best opportunity to witness this anywhere in Africa.

Proceed to  Chameleon Hill Lodge for check-in after entering the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 5: Tracking Mountain Gorillas

After eating breakfast early enough in the morning, proceed to the park office headquarters to register and receive an orientation on the locations and tracking methods of the mountain gorillas. After that proceed into groups and led by a knowledgeable ranger. Generally, tracking time is two hours at minimum and seven hours at most. You will have around one hour to spend with the gorillas to experience an exhilarating and touching event. After lunch, head back to your lodge. In the afternoon, you are welcome to join the communal stroll.

Day 6 : Go back to Kampala
