Day 1: Nairobi to Solio Lodge
- Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning for a scenic flight or road transfer (depending on your preference) to the private airstrip near Solio Lodge.
- Upon arrival, you'll be met by lodge staff and transferred to Solio Lodge, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Laikipia region along the way.
- Check-in and settle into your luxurious suite, featuring a fireplace for cozy evenings and expansive windows offering stunning views of the surrounding conservancy.
- Afternoon at your leisure to relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities, which may include a swimming pool, spa treatments, or an observation deck overlooking the savannah.
- In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive with experienced guides in a private vehicle, ensuring a personalized safari experience. Explore the vast Solio Reserve and keep your eyes peeled for rhinos, elephants, lions, zebras, and a variety of other wildlife.
- Dinner under the stars and an overnight stay at Solio Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day at Solio Lodge
- Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, listening to the sounds of birds and wildlife around you.
- Morning game drive venturing deeper into the Solio Reserve. Your knowledgeable guide will share their expertise about the conservancy's wildlife and conservation efforts.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to unwind by the pool or enjoy some downtime in your private suite.
- In the afternoon, choose an exciting activity offered by the lodge. You can embark on a thrilling horseback riding excursion exploring the scenic landscapes, or opt for a more leisurely walking safari for a closer look at the flora and fauna. If you're feeling adventurous, challenge yourself with a mountain biking adventure through the conservancy.
- In the evening, enjoy a delicious bush dinner or sundowners with refreshing drinks and breathtaking views as the sun sets over the conservancy.
- Return to the lodge for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3: Exploring Beyond Solio Lodge
- Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, savoring the tranquility of the morning.
- Today, you have the opportunity to explore beyond the Solio Reserve. Depending on your interests, you can choose one of the following options:
- Excursion to Aberdare National Park: Embark on a day trip to the Aberdare National Park (park fees not included) with your guide. Hike through the cool forests, spot unique wildlife like the black colobus monkey, and enjoy breathtaking waterfalls.
- Local Farm Visit: Learn about sustainable farming practices in the region by visiting a local farm and interacting with the farmers. This experience provides insights into the lives of the local communities and their connection to the land.
- In the afternoon, return to Solio Lodge for a relaxing time. Enjoy a refreshing swim, indulge in a spa treatment (at an additional cost), or simply relax on your private deck and soak up the scenery.
- In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by the lodge's chefs, followed by an evening game drive where you might spot nocturnal animals under the starry sky.
- Overnight stay at Solio Lodge.
Day 4: Solio Lodge to Nairobi
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the camp, reminiscing about the incredible wildlife encounters and the luxurious experience at Solio Lodge.
- Check out of Solio Lodge and be transferred by vehicle or scheduled flight (depending on your initial arrival mode) back to Nairobi.
- Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and be transferred to your hotel or dropped off at the airport for your onward journey.
